It feels like only yesterday since Chelsea and Liverpool played each other in the second leg of the Champion's League quarterfinals, but the Champion's League is back tomorrow for the first game of the Semi-finals: Chelsea vs. Barcelona at Camp Nou. There are so many factors going into this game, that it is almost impossible for me to predict a sure winner. Both of these teams are huge European Powerhouses, but there are a few things that i believe could prove to be game changing factors. First of all there is Chelsea manager Gus Hiddink, Hiddink is a good coach who has 100% of the Chelsea player's respect. Secondly for Chelsea is their ability to score goals which was very appearant in the last Champion's League games against Liverpool. Barcelona has alot going for them too. First of all they are playing at home which is a huge advantage (especially at Camp Nou). Secondly there is the Star Studded attacking force of Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi, and Samuel Eto. Together these players cause huge problems for the Chelsea defenders who are already short handed with the loss of Carvalho and Ashley Cole. John Terry has to keep Eto at bay. Right now i see the game going to Barcelona, but just Barely. This game has alot of goal scoring potential, and Chelsea could easily grab the all important Away goal.My prediction: Barcelona 2-1 Chelsea.
